- Institution Phase: R4500 per month (stipend)
- Probation Phase (Post Training): R238,629 per annum (salary notch)
Overview:
The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites dedicated and disciplined young individuals residing in Limpopo to apply for the 2025/2026 Police Trainee Programme. This 21-month Basic Police Development Learning Programme aims to equip successful applicants with the necessary skills and training to serve as Constables and uphold the values of safety and justice.
Minimum Requirements:
-Be a South African citizen (proof required)
-Aged between 18 and 35 years
-Possess a Grade 12 / Matric certificate
-Medically, physically, and mentally fit (subject to assessment)
-No criminal record or pending criminal cases
-No visible tattoos while wearing uniform
-Not declared unfit to possess a firearm
-Willing to undergo training and be deployed anywhere in South Africa
-Must not have previously participated in any SAPS Trainee Programme
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prevent, investigate, and combat crime
- Maintain law and public order
- Protect and secure the inhabitants of South Africa and their property
- Uphold and enforce the law in line with the Constitution
Preferred Candidates:
- Possess a valid light motor vehicle driverโs license
- Hold a tertiary qualification (NQF 6 or higher) in:
- Policing
- Law
- Forensics
- Criminology
