Remuneration:
- Institution Phase: R4500 per month (stipend)
- Probation Phase (Post Training): R238,629 per annum (salary notch)
Overview:
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is inviting motivated and disciplined youth in Mpumalanga to apply for the 2025/2026 Police Trainee Programme. Successful candidates will undergo a 21-month structured police development programme and may be permanently enlisted as Constables after completing all phases of training.
Minimum Requirements:
-Must be a South African citizen, aged 18โ35
-Grade 12 / Matric certificate (certified copy required)
-No previous participation in any SAPS trainee programme
-Medically and psychologically fit
-No criminal record or pending cases
-No visible tattoos while in uniform
-Not previously declared unfit to possess a firearm
-Willing to serve anywhere in South Africa
Key Responsibilities:
- Prevent, combat, and investigate criminal activities
- Maintain law and public order
- Protect and secure the public and their property
- Uphold the Constitution and enforce South African law
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid light motor vehicle driverโs license
- Tertiary qualification (NQF 6 or higher) in:
- Policing
- Law
- Criminology
- Forensic Investigation
- Information Technology
