Remuneration:
- Institution Phase: R4500 per month (stipend)
- Probation Phase (Post Training): R238,629 per annum (salary notch)
Overview:
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is recruiting young, energetic, and service-driven individuals from the North West province to join the 2025/2026 Police Trainee Programme. This structured 21-month training programme prepares successful candidates for permanent appointment as Constables in the SAPS, committed to protecting communities and upholding the law.
Minimum Requirements:
-South African citizenship (documentary proof required)
-Aged between 18 and 35 years
-Grade 12 / Matric certificate
-Medically, physically, and mentally fit for police service
-No previous SAPS trainee programme participation
-No criminal record or pending criminal cases
-No visible tattoos while in SAPS uniform
-Not previously declared unfit to possess a firearm
-Willing to serve anywhere in South Africa
Core Duties:
- Prevent and combat crime
- Maintain public order
- Protect inhabitants and their property
- Enforce the laws of the Republic of South Africa
Preference Will Be Given To:
- Applicants with a valid driverโs license (light motor vehicle)
- Applicants with a tertiary qualification (NQF 6 or higher) in:
- Policing
- Criminology
- Law
- Forensics
