Overview

The Department of Civilian Secretariat for Police Service (CSPS) invites applications from unemployed South African youth to apply for multiple entry-level government positions based in Pretoria. These roles are ideal for recent matriculants seeking meaningful work experience in the public sector. 1. Administrator

Reference No: CSP/10/2025
Salary: R269,499 per annum

Requirements:

-Grade 12 / Matric certificate

-Computer literacy

-Knowledge of clerical duties and public service legislative frameworks

-Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills

-Ability to work under pressure and for extended hours

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide administrative and secretarial support to the directorate

-Maintain office systems including electronic and hard copy filing

-Organise meetings and events; prepare and distribute meeting packs

-Coordinate travel, accommodation, and logistics

-Manage staff claims, leave plans, and overtime administration

-Prepare presentations, correspondence, and internal reports

-Perform other related administrative tasks as required


2. Administration Clerk

Reference No: CSP/11/2025
Salary: R228,321 per annum

Requirements:

-Grade 12 / Matric certificate

-Computer literacy

-Knowledge of procurement, record-keeping, and clerical procedures

-Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

-Ability to perform tasks accurately under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

-Render general clerical and administrative support

-Record, file, capture, and retrieve documents and data

-Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

-Manage the procurement of office items and asset register

-Maintain leave and personnel records

-Document minutes and maintain meeting attendance registers

-Arrange travel and accommodation logistics

-Assist with finance-related administrative tasks

-Perform other ad hoc duties as delegated


3. Receptionist

Reference No: CSP/12/2025
Salary: R193,359 per annum

Requirements:

-Grade 12 certificate or equivalent

-Advantageous: Qualifications in Office Administration, Secretarial Studies, Public Administration, or Customer Service

Key Responsibilities:

-Operate and manage the reception area professionally

-Receive and direct telephone calls and walk-in clients

-Maintain telephone lists and update directories

-Manage boardroom bookings and reception cleanliness

-Provide visitors with accurate information and support

-Maintain safe and organised reception and front-office environment

-Report faults in office equipment and ensure functionality
