Eskom Distribution Division is inviting applications for 34 Youth Employment Service (YES) Learner positions (Task Grade YY1) across various provinces. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity aimed at providing unemployed youth with valuable workplace experience in the electricity and energy sector.
Overview
The Youth Employment Service (YES) programme is a national initiative led by the Presidency to combat youth unemployment in South Africa. Eskom is offering young South Africans an opportunity to gain practical work experience in Retail, Customer Service, and Administrative functions within its Distribution Division.
Successful candidates will be placed in Eskom operations across selected provinces and clusters.

Minimum Requirements
- South African Citizen
- Aged between 18 โ 34 years
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
- English and at least one other official South African language
Selection Criteria
- Must not have been permanently employed with one employer for more than 1 year
- Must not be studying full-time during the employment period
- Must not have participated in the YES programme before
- Must meet Eskomโs employment equity and diversity requirements
