Position: Driver / Messenger

Overview
The Driver / Messenger position involves transporting officials, collecting and distributing mail, and managing various related tasks. The role also includes gathering and recording electrical and water consumption information from flow meters. The successful candidate will ensure all tasks are completed in line with instructions, meeting deadlines and addressing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

-Transport officials and deliver or collect mail, documents, and other items from internal and external sources.

-Handle the circulation, collection, and distribution of correspondence, mail, and petty cash.

-Ensure the care and maintenance of vehicles, keeping them in good working condition.

-Assist in gathering and recording data from flow meters for electrical and water consumption.

Requirements

• Essential:
  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
  • Valid code 10 vehicle driver’s license.
  • Minimum 3 months of relevant experience.
• Preferred:
  • 6 months of relevant experience.

Special Conditions

• Will be required to work in all weather conditions.
• May be required to work planned or unplanned overtime.

Compensation and Benefits

• Remuneration: R133,660.78 – R168,585.57 per annum.
• Benefits: 13th cheque, housing subsidy, medical aid, pension fund, and leave entitlements.
