Job Purpose:

eThekwini Municipality is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Senior Clerk to support the operations of the document management system within the Scientific Services Department. The successful candidate will also provide relief support in other administrative roles within the division.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive document management system.

-Manage the day-to-day operation of the department’s document system.

-Provide relief for senior clerk roles in the sewerage accounts unit.

-Assist with clerk duties in the pollution division as required.

-Deputise for the administrator when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
  • 1 year relevant administrative experience
  • Computer literacy (essential for data management and digital document handling)

Preferred:

  • 2 years relevant experience in a similar role
