Overview

We are seeking a qualified and driven Safety & Health Officer to join our Corporate Centre team in Centurion. In this pivotal role, you will support the implementation and enforcement of health and safety policies across corporate-led projects, helping to foster a culture of safety and wellbeing within our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager: Safety and Health in rolling out and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures across the Corporate Centre and associated projects
- Promote strict adherence to health and safety legislation, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Identify and mitigate safety risks by implementing preventative measures
- Support awareness and training initiatives to reduce incidents caused by unsafe acts or lack of awareness
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and assessments as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement in safety practices through reporting and proactive engagement
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Safety Management (Essential)
- Certificate in First Line Management (Essential)
- Certificate in Occupational Health (Desirable)
- BTech in a relevant field (Desirable)
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a heavy industry, mining, or production environment (Essential – Operational Level)
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of a Psychometric Assessment (to be conducted by Exxaro)
- Valid Certificate of Fitness (to be conducted by Exxaro)
