Overview

Fancourt, South Africa’s leading golfing, leisure, and lifestyle destination located in the heart of the Garden Route, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Golf Course Maintenance team as an Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about learning and contributing to golf course maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

-Hand raking of bunkers and maintaining bunker areas.

-Operating grass-cutting equipment, including ride-on and walk-behind mowers.

-Trimming verges and hedges.

-Rolling greens to maintain optimal playing conditions.

-Performing hand watering and other cultural practices related to golf course maintenance.

  • Using equipment such as weed eaters, flymos, blowers, and push mowers.
  • Carrying out sod work as needed.
  • Performing any other reasonable tasks as requested to support golf course operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 10 or equivalent education.
  • General work experience is advantageous.
  • No criminal record.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be physically fit and capable of performing all duties associated with the role.
  • Willingness to work additional hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
