1) Data Clerk โ€” Black Rock Site

Type: Full-time ยท Dept: Site Administration
Purpose: Provide accurate, timely data capture and admin support to ensure smooth site operations and compliant record-keeping.

Key responsibilities

  • Data management & reporting: Capture/update employee & site data; compile daily/weekly/monthly production, HR and operational reports; maintain attendance registers, dashboards and compliance logs; verify data integrity.
  • Administration: Support the Site Administrator; file & control documents (electronic/physical); process leave forms, timesheets and overtime; assist with onboarding packs/personnel files.
  • Compliance & coordination: Maintain safety/HR/ops compliance records; prepare audit packs; liaise with HR/Payroll/Finance; general office duties (correspondence, copies, scheduling).

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric); Admin/HR/Data certificate or diploma advantageous.
  • 1โ€“2 yearsโ€™ admin/data capturing experience (mining/industrial environment advantageous).
  • MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) โ€” intermediate to advanced.
  • Exposure to HR/Payroll systems advantageous.

2) Electrical System Engineer

Type: Full-time ยท Dept: Engineering
Purpose: Design, implement and maintain safe, reliable, cost-effective electrical systems that support production performance and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Service delivery: Engineer electrical systems to spec; ensure SANS/IEC and safety compliance; conduct performance testing, fault-finding and optimization for energy efficiency.
  • Internal processes: Keep drawings, schematics and system records up to date; analyse system performance; drive upgrades/continuous improvement; lead predictive maintenance plans.
  • Finance & admin: Manage budgets, specs and procurement; ensure supplier/contractor conformance.
  • Learning & growth: Mentor juniors/technicians; stay current on controls/automation and emerging tech.

Minimum requirements

  • Relevant Electrical Engineering degree (BEng/BSc/BTech).
  • Proven experience in industrial power, controls and protection; strong fault-finding and commissioning.
  • Proficiency with CAD/electrical design tools; knowledge of applicable codes/standards.

3) Project Engineer

Type: Full-time ยท Dept: Production Engineering / Systems Integration
Purpose: Plan and deliver manufacturing projects, introduce new products/processes, and drive continuous improvement across production.

Key responsibilities

  • Design & integration: Engineer structural components (frames, cabins, brackets, booms); integrate suspension, steering, axles, powertrain, cooling, third-party utilities, electrical & hydraulic systems.
  • CAD & documentation: Create 3D/2D using SolidWorks (preferred) and Teamcenter/EMP; maintain engineering BOMs and as-built data packs; lead design reviews.
  • Change & quality: Initiate/manage ECNs; ensure performance, assembly and maintenance criteria are met; provide technical support through lifecycle and aftermarket.
  • Project delivery: Plan resources, schedules, risks and budgets from inception to client handover; liaise with fabricators, suppliers and stores; develop & execute test/commissioning procedures; report status to management; review workflows and technical instructions.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior engineers; coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing/Production Engineering (or related).
  • 3โ€“5 yearsโ€™ experience in production/manufacturing engineering with project management exposure.
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and MS Project (or equivalent).

4) Design Engineer

Type: Full-time ยท Dept: Product Development
Purpose: Lead development and optimization of advanced mining equipment from concept to launch, ensuring performance, manufacturability and cost effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

  • Technical leadership: Guide design team; foster innovation and collaboration.
  • Product development: Own new designs and enhancements to meet customer/standard/regulatory needs.
  • Optimization: Drive DFM/DFA and value engineering; improve cost, weight, durability and serviceability.
  • Project management: Plan resources, schedule, milestones and budgets; track progress to delivery.
  • Cross-functional: Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, QA and Sales for seamless industrialization and launch.
  • Prototype & validation: Oversee build, testing and verification against specs; iterate designs.
  • Documentation: Maintain drawings, specs, BOMs and test reports; manage PLM artefacts.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s in Mechanical Engineering (Masterโ€™s advantageous).
  • 5โ€“10 yearsโ€™ design experience in mining/heavy equipment.
  • Strong CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and PLM experience; deep knowledge of materials, mechanisms and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and on-time/on-budget project delivery.
