Overview

First National Bank (FNB) Lesotho is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to provide strategic financial advice and operational leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing critical reconciliation and settlement functions, while also ensuring compliance with internal governance standards and external regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

-Lead and manage the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process for Merchant Services and Issuing (ATM and POS).

-Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all reconciliations.

-Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and variances.

-Collaborate with internal departments to obtain necessary information and streamline reconciliation processes.

-Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to align with governance standards and Central Bank of Lesotho (CBL) NPS guidelines and service-level agreements (SLAs).

-Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals.

-Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly settlement processes.

-Manage the annual SLA process with relevant business units.


Requirements and Skills

-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

-Professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA (required).

-Additional qualifications in Mathematics will be an added advantage.

-Minimum of 2โ€“4 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting.

-Strong analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills.

-Leadership and team management experience.

-Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

-Familiarity with regulatory and governance frameworks.
