Assistant Store Manager โ€” Dolphin Coast/Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal

OBJECTIVE

Support the Store Manager to run a high-performing, on-brand store: lead people, deliver service excellence, keep visuals sharp, manage stock, and ensure smooth daily operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric (compulsory); Bachelorโ€™s degree advantageous
  • 1โ€“2 yearsโ€™ retail leadership experience
  • Strong customer service, communication and people management
  • Working knowledge of store ops (POS, cash-up, refunds, opening/closing)

EXPOSURE / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer Service Leadership: Drive UPT, ATV & Turnover; active floor supervision and zoning
  • Visual Merchandising: Implement VM guides; daily VM walks; tagging, steaming, pricing, replenishment
  • Inventory Control: Same-day receiving; organised stockroom; weekly/monthly counts; loss-prevention
  • Daily Ops: Time & attendance; POS & cash handling; refunds/exchanges per policy; housekeeping

OBJECTIVE

Co-lead the store to target: coach the team, uphold VM standards, control stock, and execute daily procedures that elevate the GALXBOY in-store experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric; tertiary advantageous
  • 1โ€“2 years in a retail managerial role
  • Strong leadership, customer focus, and admin discipline

EXPOSURE / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead by example on sales KPIs (UPT/ATV/Turnover)
  • Execute weekly VM submissions and compliance walks
  • Process deliveries same day; conduct cycle counts; enforce risk controls
  • Manage rosters, cash-ups, opening/closing; resolve customer & staff issues

OBJECTIVE

Bring peak-season energy: deliver next-level customer service, sharp VM, fast and accurate transactions, and live the GALXBOY culture on the floor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Flexible availability (weekends/holidays/late trade)
  • Retail experience beneficial; high energy and people skills essential
  • Tech-savvy; quick and accurate at till and floor tasks

EXPOSURE / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product knowledge, styling advice, queue management
  • Maintain standards and replenishment during high traffic
  • Support VM, stockroom discipline and basic admin
  • Commission & performance incentives (role dependent)

OBJECTIVE

Own store performance end-to-end: sales, people, eCommerce fulfilment, stock integrity, operations, reporting and brand-right customer experiences.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric (compulsory); relevant tertiary advantageous
  • 3+ years retail management (incl. exposure to eCommerce)
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify)
  • Strong leadership, inventory control and problem-solving

EXPOSURE / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales & Business Development: Drive UPT/ATV/Turnover; coach to targets; market/area insights
  • Team Management: Training, meetings, rosters, performance reviews and comms
  • eCommerce & Fulfilment: Pick/pack quality, dispatch deadlines, platform tracking, courier liaison
  • Inventory Management: Same-day receiving; cycle counts; replenishment and transfers; shrinkage control
  • Operations: Open/close, time & attendance, cash-ups, expense control, loss-prevention, escalations
  • Administration & Reporting: Month-end packs, sales dashboards, training registers, compliance
