Overview:

Parts Incorporated Africa is seeking a General Worker to join its warehouse operations team at the Riverhorse branch in Durban. This position involves general warehouse duties such as stock taking, binning, picking, packing, checking, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Binning & Inventory:

• Accurately bin incoming stock and replenish inventory between bulk and pick locations.
• Allocate new products to appropriate bin locations and report updates to the supervisor.
• Assist with inventory replenishment and ensure proper documentation and accuracy.

2. Picking & Packing:

• Pick customer and branch orders within the required timeframes.
• Prioritize picking from designated bins unless bulk is necessary due to stock depletion.
• Follow SOPs to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment.

3. Stock Control & Warehouse Maintenance:

• Participate in regular stock-taking and cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
• Perform double checks to reduce inventory errors and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Consistently achieve operational performance targets.

4. Scanner Control:

• Issue and log scanners to operators daily using the electronic app.
• Conduct return inspections of scanners and report damages.
• Maintain and update the scanner control spreadsheet.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (advantageous).
• Knowledge of motor spares, engine parts, and warehouse systems is desirable.
