Overview

Woodlands Dairy (Pty) Ltd is seeking a General Worker to join its Logistics Depot in George, Western Cape. This permanent position is ideal for a reliable and safety-conscious individual who can support daily warehouse and logistics operations.

The role focuses on stock handling, loading and offloading, housekeeping, and hygiene compliance within a food production and logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general warehouse duties
  • Pick stock accurately according to operational requirements
  • Assist with stock counts and inventory control
  • Load and offload delivery trucks safely and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and housekeeping standards
  • Manage waste control in line with company procedures
  • Apply FIFO and LIFO stock rotation principles correctly

Requirements & Skills

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Completion of SP2 (essential)
  • Reliable personal transport
  • Valid Code 08 driverโ€™s licence (essential)
  • Forklift licence (advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment

Knowledge & Competencies

  • Understanding of FIFO and LIFO stock control principles
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Awareness of hygiene standards within a food logistics environment
