Overview

Canyon Coal is seeking two (2) General Workers to carry out general duties in and around the Khanye Colliery mine area in Bronkhorstspruit. The ideal candidates must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to perform manual labour in a mining environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Valid Driver’s Licence (advantageous)
• No criminal record
• Must be medically fit for duty
• Must understand and comply with safety standards

Experience Needed

• 3 years’ experience in building works and plumbing
• Experience working in a mining environment is essential
• Familiarity with good housekeeping practices

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidates will perform, among others, the following tasks:

-Install signage around the mine

-Perform basic repair and general maintenance tasks

-Clean around the main plant and plant offices

-Clean trenches and assist with yard maintenance

-Cut grass and maintain surrounding mine areas

-Assist with closing tarpaulins on coal trucks leaving Khanye Colliery
