Overview

Eskom is recruiting two General Workers to support safe, clean and efficient site operations at its Rosherville and Duvha locations. The role focuses on executing instructions, maintaining orderly work areas (yards, workshops and offices), and adhering to all applicable work instructions, procedures, legal and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

-Follow all SHEQ rules and safe-work procedures; use PPE and report hazards/near-misses.

-Carry out general site tasks and housekeeping across yards, workshops and offices.

-Assist with basic cleaning, material handling, and routine support duties as instructed.

-Comply with work instructions, permits, and supervision requirements.

-Uphold general authorities and responsibilities assigned to the role (documentation, tool care, basic record keeping).

-Support team activities and overtime work when operationally required.

Requirements and Skills

-Grade 12 (Matric).

-Experience in cleaning and basic maintenance of yards, workshops and offices.

-Driver’s licence will be an advantage.

Skills & Knowledge

-Communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in a team and resolve minor conflicts.

-Time management; reliable and punctual; willingness to work overtime when required.

-Awareness of cleaners’ work procedures and safe housekeeping practices.

-Basic understanding of safety rules and regulations; knowledge of OHSA.

-Attributes: results-driven, self-disciplined, analytical with strong attention to detail.
