Overview
The South African Government is recruiting Client Service Officers to fill 340 entry-level vacancies across provincial Labour Centres in Mpumalanga. This is a critical initiative aimed at strengthening unemployment benefit processing and improving service delivery in local offices. Candidates with a matric certificate and a passion for public service are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
-Assess and process Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) claims
-Monitor payments to ensure compliance with UIA and UICA
-Maintain up-to-date records of overpayments and facilitate recoveries
-Support internal financial management and control practices in line with government regulations
-Deliver client-facing services to ensure timely resolution of queries and benefits administration
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
- Experience: 0โ6 months in any administrative, accounting, or customer service role is an advantage
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of:
-Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA)
-Unemployment Insurance Contribution Act (UICA)
-Generally Recognised Accounting Principles (GRAP)
-Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
-Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
-Treasury Regulations and financial procedures
Skills:
-Computer literacy
-Analytical and numerical ability
-Time and records management
-Interpersonal and verbal/written communication
