Position: General Worker
Salary: R131,265 per annum (Level 02)
Locations: Multiple provinces and government centres
Minimum Requirements
-Grade 8 / ABET Level 2 or equivalent
-Basic literacy and numeracy
-Ability to read and write
-Basic knowledge of security service functions
-Good communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to write simple reports
-Willingness to perform physical and outdoor labour
Core Functions
General Workers will be responsible for a wide range of manual, operational and security-support duties, including:
-Performing routine manual farming activities
-Controlling movement of cloven-hooved animals
-Stopping, registering and searching vehicles entering the redline area
-Checking and confiscating prohibited products
-Opening and closing access gates
-Conducting fence patrols and performing basic fence repairs
-Tracing animal tracks along the redline boundary
-Clearing bushes and vegetation along fences
-Checking permits and monitoring quarantined animals
- Keeping accurate registers and records for:
- Vehicle movements
- Permits issued
- Quarantined animals
- Supporting general site operations as instructed
These roles require individuals who are reliable, physically fit, and able to work in outdoor and controlled-area environments.
