Overview:
Trollope Botswana International invites applications for two positions as Graduate Mining Engineer Trainees. The successful candidates will undergo comprehensive training in open-cast mining operations, including safety standards, project management, equipment utilization, and mining technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
-Learn and apply health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and policies.
-Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor and support other team members with reporting and operations.
-Participate in training across a wide range of mining disciplines such as drilling and blasting, loading and hauling, pit services, and equipment utilization.
-Acquire skills in mine planning, safety systems, and project feasibility.
-Gain hands-on experience with mining systems and mineral extraction.
-Learn to use computer applications for mine planning, production modeling, and reporting.
-Demonstrate readiness and enthusiasm to learn and contribute to commercial mining benefits.
Minimum Requirements:
-Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
-Previous mining experience is not required but will be an added advantage.
-Familiarity with MQWM Act Chapter 44:02.
-Strong attention to detail and time management.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Ability to handle pressure and accept constructive feedback.
-Must be medically fit and maintain sober habits.
-Valid Class B Driverโs License.
