Introduction
Colossal Aviapartner Aviation Services, a trusted name in ground handling and airport operations, is seeking a professional and safety-focused GSO Driver to join its dynamic team in Kempton Park.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of aviation support services, maintaining high operational standards, and upholding strict compliance with airport safety and security regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties
-Deliver efficient ground support operations and ensure services meet the required standards.
-Distribute resources effectively to meet operational needs and schedules.
-Ensure all equipment and vehicles are maintained in safe, working condition.
-Attend all mandatory meetings and complete assigned tasks within set timeframes.
-Maintain a clean, organised vehicle at all times and report defects immediately.
Safety & Compliance
-Strictly adhere to airport safety, security, and company policies.
-Ensure 100% compliance with ACSA regulations and all operational procedures.
-Report all incidents, accidents, or irregularities immediately and submit full reports as required.
-Follow all SHE Act requirements, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
-Communicate all movements and completed services promptly to the controller.
Communication & Coordination
-Use two-way radios effectively for coordination with control rooms, ramp agents, and ground staff.
-Ensure all departure and service documentation is signed off by the required personnel.
-Collect and return completed sign-off documents for all ad-hoc requests.
-Participate in ongoing communication to ensure smooth ground operations.
Quality & Customer Service
-Maintain high standards of professionalism, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
-Display flexibility and readiness to perform duties across different operational areas when needed.
-Uphold company reputation through reliable, precise, and courteous service delivery.
Minimum Requirements
–Grade 12 / Matric.
-Valid Code 10 Driverโs License with Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
-Minimum of 2 yearsโ driving experience in an aviation or logistics environment (advantageous).
-Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
-Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
-Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
-Good crisis management and contingency planning skills.
-Strong leadership and time management abilities.
-Committed to workplace safety, quality, and teamwork.
