Location: South Africa (Pre-Departure) & China (Internship Placement)
Closing Date: 19 June 2025
Programme Duration: 15 Months (3 Months Preparation in SA + 12 Months Internship in China)
Target Group: TVET Diploma Graduates
Funded by: Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&R SETA) in partnership with China Centre for International Economic Exchanges and Cooperation (CCIEEC)


Overview

The W&R SETA, in partnership with CCIEEC, invites high-performing TVET Diploma graduates to apply for a unique international exchange programme focused on online business and e-commerce.

This initiative aims to empower young South African graduates by exposing them to the global digital economy and enhancing their skills in the rapidly evolving online commerce landscape.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • 3 months of pre-departure preparation training in South Africa
  • 12-month international internship placement in China at e-commerce companies and institutions

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the programme, applicants must:

-Hold a completed TVET Diploma from an accredited South African institution

-Be a South African citizen under the age of 35 years

-Be fluent in English

-Have no criminal record

-Be in good physical health (medical clearance may be required)

-Show a strong interest in online business and e-commerce

-Demonstrate academic excellence and strong motivation
