Overview

The City of Johannesburg is recruiting 14 EPWP JPC Facilities Cleaners to keep public facilities clean, safe and welcoming across the metro. This is an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public service—no experience required, training provided.

Key Responsibilities

-Clean and disinfect taxi ranks, Rea Vaya stations, trading areas, public conveniences, open spaces and walkways.

-Sweep, mop, scrub and sanitize sinks, countertops, toilets, floors and stairs; maintain and clean equipment.

-Follow OHS/health and safety standards; report hazards and maintenance needs promptly.

Entry Requirements (No experience required)

• Minimum Grade 7 (Grade 10–12 advantageous).
• Able to perform physical cleaning tasks; basic ability to read and write; professional and reliable.
