Overview
Canyon Coal is seeking a Laundry Assistant to join the Khanye Colliery team in Bronkhorstspruit. The successful candidate will ensure cleanliness, order, and proper handling of all laundry items while maintaining high operational standards.
Minimum Requirements
-Grade 12 (Matric)
-Previous experience working in a laundry environment
-Knowledge of laundry safety procedures and operational guidelines
-Understanding of safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials
-Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

Main Duties & Responsibilities
-Sort and separate soiled laundry according to colour, fabric type, and care instructions
-Operate laundry machines including washers, dryers, and ironing equipment
-Pre-treat stains before laundering
-Load and unload machines, ensuring correct settings, detergent quantities, and cycle selections
-Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry facility
