Introduction
Eskom, South Africaโs leading power utility, is offering two (2) Learner Intern opportunities for Civil Engineering Diploma students seeking to complete their P1 and P2 practical training at Medupi Power Station, Lephalale.
This internship provides structured on-site experience within Eskomโs Construction Services (Civil) department, preparing learners for future registration as qualified Civil Engineering Technicians.
Successful applicants will sign a two-year internship contract and receive a stipend according to Eskomโs company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
-Participate in P1 and P2 in-service training under the supervision of qualified civil engineers and technicians.
-Execute assigned duties and technical tasks in line with Eskomโs training programme.
-Assist in surveying, site inspections, quality control, and civil project documentation.
-Support construction planning, measurement, and design reviews.
-Apply continuous improvement principles to assigned work.
-Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993).
