Overview

MA Automotive Tool & Die (Pty) Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity for four motivated individuals to join our team as Toolmaking Apprentices at our Rosslyn Plant. As a leading manufacturer of vehicle body components and systems, as well as tools and devices for the sheet metal processing industry, we are committed to providing high-quality products for the automotive market in South Africa, the United States, and right-hand steering markets in Asia.

This learnership is a comprehensive 4-year program designed to provide in-depth training in automotive press tools and assembly jigs. Apprentices will be registered with MERSETA, with the program’s quality assurance overseen by QCTO.

Key Requirements

Skills:

-Highly motivated and self-driven.

-Technically inclined with a keen interest in toolmaking.

-Proficient in English.

-Strong interpersonal skills and a solid work ethic.

-Willingness to work at any MA Automotive Tool & Die plant in South Africa.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Senior Certificate with a minimum of 60% in Mathematics, Science, and English, and proficiency in Engineering Drawing. Mathematical Literacy is not accepted.Or
  • TVET Equivalent Qualifications (N3) with four completed subjects: Mathematics, Science, Mechanotechnics, and Fitting and Machining/Toolmakers Theory.
