Role Overview:
PepsiCo is seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join the team at our Pietermaritzburg DC Bread division. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing customer relationships, maintaining stock and cash control, and ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve revenue and volume targets as set out in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Achieve 100% customer call rate and 90% strike rate.
- Ensure stale stock remains under 0.5%.
- Acquire new business according to AOP goals.
- Manage route stock and cash efficiently.
- Analyse sales reports and data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support company cost-saving initiatives by efficiently operating the sales vehicle.
- Maintain and care for company assets, including hand-held computers, mobile devices, vehicles, and uniforms.
- Adhere to all company procedures and safety standards, including health and safety policies.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Education: 3-year tertiary qualification in Business or Commercial studies.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the FMCG industry, with at least 1 year in a direct sales or selling role.
- At least 1 year of experience operating a company vehicle.
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License.
- Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP).
- Certified Defensive Driving Certification.
