Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd is a trusted leader in workforce solutions across South Africa. We are currently seeking an experienced Code 14 Driver with a valid PDP to operate a Tautliner trailer in the Wadeville area.
This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of goods, while upholding high standards of road safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Code 14 truck with Tautliner trailer in a safe and legal manner.
- Transport goods to various destinations and manage timely loading and unloading.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer.
- Perform minor maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Complete and maintain delivery documents, logbooks, and inspection checklists.
- Ensure all goods are properly secured and comply with safety standards.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding schedules and delivery updates.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or road violations immediately.
- Represent the company with professionalism at all times during deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s License (EC or equivalent)
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating Code 14 trucks
- Proven experience with Tautliner trailers
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and logistics procedures
- Matric / Grade 12
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
- High level of responsibility and time management skills
Remuneration
- Hourly Rate: R79 per hour
