Overview
Pick n Pay is recruiting Checkout / Cashier Assistants to join its Gauteng stores. This role is ideal for energetic individuals who are passionate about retail, customer service, and creating a positive shopping experience.
No previous experience is required โ full training will be provided in line with company standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers according to store customer service standards
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, card, and electronic payments responsibly
- Provide product location assistance where required
- Resolve customer queries professionally and escalate where necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Adhere to pricing accuracy and security procedures
- Follow store policies and procedures at all times
- Support overall store operations when required
Minimum Requirements
- No experience required
- Hard-working and able to work shopping mall hours
- Able to work under pressure
- Passion for retail and customer service
- Proficient in English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated and aligned with Pick n Pay values
