Overview
Bayport Financial Services is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Control Officer Intern to join our team in Gaborone. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates passionate about finance, compliance, and customer service. The successful candidate will support loan quality verification processes and play a vital role in ensuring compliance and accuracy across all loan applications.
Position Purpose
Reporting to the Quality Control Team Leaders and indirectly to the Head of Quality Control, the Quality Control Officer Intern will independently review loan applications both pre- and post-approval. The role involves resolving quality control queries, ensuring document authenticity, and maintaining compliance with internal loan processing standards.
Key Responsibilities
-Verify the completeness and quality of all submitted loan applications.
-Ensure all required supporting documents are submitted and meet policy standards.
-Confirm the authenticity of key documents such as payslips, Omang, employment letters, and settlement quotes.
-Validate and confirm client bank details and credit history per policy via Novalend and credit vetting systems.
-Confirm net pay using tools such as CLAS and SPDQ.
-Communicate feedback to branches via Live Tracker and designated representatives.
-Address customer queries and escalate unresolved issues.
-Monitor and report any compliance risks or inconsistencies.
-Assist in maintaining accurate records and audit trails of loan reviews.
-Carry out additional duties as needed to support departmental goals.
Qualifications
-Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
-0โ1 year of experience in the banking or financial services sector.
Certifications and Training
- Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
