Overview
Botswana Fibre Networks (BoFiNet) is seeking a qualified and motivated Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Administrator. The successful candidate will support the SHE Officer in planning, establishing, maintaining, and implementing safety, health, and environmental programmes to ensure the highest level of employee safety and compliance with regulatory standards. This role aims to minimize company risk and promote a safe working environment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing the management system through reports, procedure updates, and record-keeping.
- Plan and coordinate safety training sessions and meetings for employees and Safety Champions.
- Conduct and review risk assessments, impact registers, and incident investigations.
- Implement audit plans and corrective actions (e.g., hygiene checks, first aid box inspections, housekeeping, and area inspections).
- Manage contractor safety and conduct inductions.
- Support emergency response management.
- Coordinate SHE initiatives to align with legal requirements, internal procedures, and corporate strategy.
Requirements and Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and report-writing skills.
- Strong planning, organizing, and record-keeping abilities.
- Analytical skills in numerical, verbal, and other information sources.

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety or Environmental Management/Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 yearsโ experience in a Safety and Environmental Management role (telecommunications sector experience is advantageous).
