The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites applications from qualified individuals to fill two Cook positions at SAPS Academy, Philippi. Key Responsibilities
- Administer general mess matters and manage mess purchases.
- Control and manage mess stock levels.
- Prepare meals following healthy menus and dietary standards.
- Ensure food quality, hygiene, and safety compliance.
- Serve meals and provide waiter service when necessary.
Requirements
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) (NQF Level 4).
- Display competency in post-specific core functions.
- Fluent in at least two official languages (one must be English).
- South African Citizen.
- No criminal/departmental convictions or pending cases (subject to security screening and fingerprint verification).
- Certificate in Food Preparation and/or Catering will be an advantage.
- Ability to operate basic kitchen machinery and equipment.
- Willingness to work extended hours when needed.
