Pick n Pay is seeking a qualified and experienced Security Officer to ensure the safety of all staff, customers, and company assets. This role focuses on enforcing security policies, preventing shrinkage, monitoring store activities, and supporting overall store operations.
Key Purpose of the Role
To protect employees, customers, and company property by enforcing security procedures, mitigating risks, and ensuring a safe environment in the store at all times.
Minimum Requirements
-Security qualification (Grade C).
–Registered with PSIRA/SOB.
-Minimum 2 years of Retail Industry security experience.
-Must have own reliable transport.
-Able to work flexible hours and shifts.
Key Responsibilities
-Enforce company security procedures to reduce shrinkage and prevent losses.
-Monitor store activities and respond to security risks appropriately.
-Safeguard all company property and assets.
-Manage emergency procedures and ensure compliance from all employees and customers.
-Identify potential risks and report concerns to management.
-Liaise with senior store management, external security teams, and SAPS when required.
-Assist during alarm call-outs when necessary.
-Maintain a visible security presence and act as a deterrent to suspicious behaviour.
-Perform routine security checks and ensure operational readiness.
