Overview
The Botswana Defence Force is seeking a highly qualified Senior Dietician to provide nutrition screening, assessment, counselling, and intervention for personnel and patients. This role supports the health, performance, and readiness of BDF personnel through tailored nutritional care and therapy.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Scale: D4 (P265,948 โ P282,120 per annum)
- Leave: 30 working days per annum
- Benefits Include:

- Housing and Upkeep Allowance of P309.00 per month

Key Responsibilities
-Provide medical nutrition therapy for a wide range of clinical conditions.
-Incorporate evidence-based standards into nutrition planning.
-Conduct nutritional assessments, counselling, and monitoring.
-Assess and manage diet-related issues affecting soldiersโ health and performance.
-Collaborate with BDF medical personnel to design general and therapeutic diets.
-Conduct research and assessments on nutrition and physical readiness.
-Develop and manage meal plans and ensure adequate food supply.
-Lead nutrition education and health promotion initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
-Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent.
-Minimum of eight (8) yearsโ work experience, including two (2) years at D4 salary scale or equivalent in the private sector.
-Registration with the Botswana Health Professions Council.
-Possession of a valid practising licence.
