Overview:

FNB Botswana is looking for a professional and service-driven individual to join its Student Banking division in Maun on a six-month fixed-term contract. The Service Consultant will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing customer expectations, resolving queries efficiently, and contributing to the overall profitability and growth of the bank.


Key Responsibilities:

-Deliver excellent customer service via various channels including face-to-face, telephone, and digital platforms.

-Process customer requests promptly, accurately, and in compliance with internal service standards.

-Manage and resolve customer queries within agreed timeframes.

-Ensure customer expectations and needs are clearly understood and met.

-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products, especially within the Mortgage Lending space.

-Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

-Work proactively to drive profitability while ensuring cost-efficiency.

-Handle incoming requests with urgency and maintain high service quality.

-Translate strategic goals into actionable objectives aligned with performance indicators.

-Ensure compliance with governance, legislative, and audit standards.

-Fulfil operational tasks as per service level agreements and internal procedures.

-Accurately update all relevant systems and documentation.


Requirements and Skills:

-Previous experience in a customer service or banking-related role will be advantageous.

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

-Customer-centric with a focus on service excellence.

-Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.

-Good understanding of banking operations and product knowledge, especially student and mortgage banking.

-High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management.

-Ability to build professional relationships and work collaboratively.

-Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with internal controls and regulations.
