Overview
Ackermans is recruiting P27 Shop Assistants/Cashiers across multiple stores nationwide. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer shopping experience through efficient till operations, housekeeping, stock replenishment, and support on the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service
-Assist customers in locating products.
-Provide friendly and professional service at all times.
-Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently.
2. Cashier Duties
-Process cash, card, Lay-By transactions and customer refunds.
-Balance the till and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
-Follow all till operating procedures accurately.
3. Merchandising & Housekeeping
-Ensure stock is correctly priced, labelled, and displayed.
-Maintain product availability on the sales floor.
-Uphold store cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
-Stay updated on promotions and product changes.
4. Risk & Loss Prevention
-Tag merchandise according to policy.
-Participate in regular stock takes.
-Stay alert and report suspicious or fraudulent behaviour.
5. Brand Values
-Uphold Ackermansโ values, policies, and procedures in all aspects of work.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Strong communication skills (English essential; other languages beneficial).
-High energy, motivation, and a tenacious attitude.
-Retail experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to work in a high-paced retail environment.
- Willingness to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Positive attitude and commitment to excellent service.
