Overview:
Clicks is hiring ten Shop Assistants / Cashiers at the Riverwalk Shopping Centre. This role is ideal for candidates who are customer-focused and eager to contribute to a positive in-store experience through efficient service, accurate transactions, and merchandising excellence.
Responsibilities:
-Carry out all point-of-sale (POS) transactions with speed and accuracy.
-Collect payment for goods, promote ClubCard rewards, and enroll new members.
-Safely handle and manage cash according to company standards.
-Inform customers of ongoing promotions to influence purchasing decisions.
-Maintain a clean, orderly, and visually appealing retail environment.
-Provide professional and friendly service as a visible brand representative.
-Ensure merchandising and housekeeping align with company standards.
-Keep updated on products, ranges, and promotions to assist customers effectively.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
-Essential: Grade 12
-Desirable: 50% in Maths and English at Grade 12 level
-Desirable: Retail/FMCG store operations experience in a customer-facing role
Knowledge and Skills:
-Basic retail maths and stock management procedures
-Understanding of merchandising and promotional strategies
-Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
-Computer literacy and numeracy competence
