As a Shop Assistant Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and positive shopping experience, handling transactions with accuracy, maintaining store presentation standards, and supporting overall store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

-Deliver friendly and professional customer service at all times.

-Accurately process cash and card transactions at the checkout.

-Assist customers in locating products and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.

-Respond to customer enquiries in-store and over the phone efficiently.

-Maintain neat and organized shelves and displays, ensuring correct pricing and signage.

-Replenish stock and ensure product availability on the sales floor.

-Receive, unpack, and manage deliveries using in-store tools and systems.

-Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the store.

-Support stock preparation and readiness for daily operations and stock takes.

-Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards in all store activities.

-Follow daily banking and store equipment management procedures.

-Assist management in implementing strategies to minimize stock loss and improve store performance.

Requirements and Skills:

• Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric)
• Preferred Experience in:
  • Retail sales or cashiering
  • Customer service
  • Store operations
• Must be able to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and holidays
• Clear criminal record
• Must reside within reasonable proximity of the store location
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail, accuracy in handling transactions, and good organizational skills
• Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume retail environment
