Overview:
SPAR Group is seeking reliable and customer-focused Cashiers to join our dynamic team at our Paarl store in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and courteously processing customer transactions while upholding the highest standards of customer service and retail integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various front-end equipment including:
- Point of Sale (POS) terminal
- Debit Card terminal
- Speedpoint
- Veri-cheque
- Smartbox
- Zip Zap
- Process various forms of tender:
- Cash, Cheques, Gift Vouchers, Bank Cards, Pensioners Cards
- Ensure correct signage and pricing on all products
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and housekeeping standards at the cashier station
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
Requirements and Skills:
-Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4 equivalent)
-Prior experience as a cashier (full-time, part-time, or trainee) will be an advantage
-Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
-Ability to operate cashier equipment and handle customer transactions accurately
-Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
