Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a dedicated and reliable Store Cleaner to join their team at the Claremont store. The ideal candidate will ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of all store areas including the shop floor, stock room, canteen, dispensary, and administrative office, maintaining Dis-Chem’s high standards.

Responsibilities

-Ensure daily cleanliness of the store, including floors, shelves, canteen, and restrooms.

-Maintain cleanliness standards before store opening and throughout trading hours.

-Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies in restrooms and staff areas.

-Use the correct cleaning products and equipment for various tasks.

-Display proper signage when cleaning to ensure customer and staff safety.

-Maintain a professional and customer-friendly demeanor at all times.

-Comply with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements

Essential:

-Grade 12 / Matric

-At least 6 months of cleaning experience

-Good communication in English

-Willingness to work retail hours

-Basic customer service skills

-Physically fit and able to perform physical cleaning tasks

Advantageous:

-Prior cleaning experience in a retail environment

-Ability to speak a second language relevant to the area
