Overview

Sportscene, a leading streetwear retailer under The Foschini Group (TFG), is seeking a proactive and experienced Store Manager to lead the team at BR Mall in Gaborone. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, optimising operations, managing staff, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone passionate about fashion, retail, and building strong teams.


Key Responsibilities

-Drive sales performance and ensure achievement of store targets.

-Control operational expenses and manage store budgets effectively.

-Minimise shrinkage by implementing and enforcing stock control procedures.

-Lead the recruitment, training, and development of store staff.

-Oversee employee performance and ensure a productive, motivated team environment.

-Execute visual merchandising plans and uphold in-store brand standards.

-Deliver excellent customer service by enforcing service strategies and meeting customer demands.

-Implement and monitor store policies and procedures in line with company expectations.


Requirements and Skills

Qualifications & Experience

  • BGCSE (Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years retail experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role (e.g., Assistant Manager or Supervisor).

-Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills.

-Proven sales and customer service expertise.

-Ability to drive and manage the sales process and deliver results.

-Excellent planning, organising, and time-management abilities.
