Overview:

The Lion Match Company (Pty) Ltd has vacancies for Drivers โ€“ Code 14 within its Warehouse Department, based at Quality Products in Cornubia, Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods while ensuring strict adherence to road regulations, internal procedures, and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

-Plan cost-effective delivery routes and schedule daily duties efficiently

-Drive responsibly in compliance with road safety regulations at all times

-Maintain regular communication with the warehouse/home base

-Complete daily vehicle checklists and report mechanical issues

-Submit accurate maintenance and delivery reports

-Monitor traffic and weather conditions to adjust routes accordingly

-Provide mentorship/training to junior drivers or team members

-Ensure valid driving licence and regulatory compliance at all times

-Follow all health and safety procedures on and off-site

-Furnish certified documentation/extracts to relevant stakeholders when required

Minimum Requirements:

-Valid Code 14 driverโ€™s licence

–Matric (Grade 12) certificate

-Proven ability to manage route planning and logistics

-Good understanding of vehicle maintenance reporting

-Excellent communication and time management skills

-Familiarity with health, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
