Overview
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is offering a 12-month Learnership opportunity for unemployed youth interested in becoming Visual Merchandisers.
This structured work-based learning programme equips participants with commercial acumen and practical skills to service customers, grow sales volume, support the order-taking process, and implement merchandising standards across direct and indirect customers within a designated geographical area.
The learner will report to the Account Developer and work closely with Sales Teams while interacting with customers and consumers to ensure strong brand execution and visibility.
To qualify for the full qualification, learners must complete a minimum of 120 credits during the 12-month programme.
Key Responsibilities
In-Store Execution & Merchandising
-Execute daily call schedules across assigned outlets
-Implement visual merchandising standards and in-store displays according to brand guidelines
-Ensure stock rotation, product quality, availability and visibility
-Complete execution scorecards and iRED survey requirements
-Support customers with placing orders via the MyCCBA platform
-Assist in promotional activities to enhance brand visibility
-Provide relief support where required by the line manager
Collaboration & Interaction
-Work closely with Sales Team Members on daily tasks
-Receive guidance and performance feedback from the Account Developer
-Engage with consumers to understand buying behaviour and preferences
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics or Maths Literacy (minimum 40%)
- Grade 12 with English and a second language (minimum 40%)
- South African Citizen
- Aged between 18 and 35 years
- Must be unemployed at the time of appointment
- Must not be enrolled in any current learnership or full-time studies
- Must not have previously completed the same qualification/learnership
- Must be available to work six days per week
- No criminal record or adverse credit record
- Must consent to criminal, ID and qualification verification
- Must be an Employment Equity candidate
Advantageous:
- Driverโs Licence (may be required for travel between stores)
- Post-Matric qualification in Sales & Marketing
