Job Overview

RCL Milling, part of the Consumer Division, is seeking a professional and experienced Ultra-heavy Motor Vehicle Driver (Code 14 Tanker Driver) to join the team in Pretoria. This role involves the safe and efficient transport of goods using Ultra-heavy vehicles across various routes, adhering to company policies and road regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / National Certificate
  • Valid Code EC (Code 14) Driver’s Licence with PrDP
  • Valid Passport
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience operating Tankers
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Ultra-heavy vehicles
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience driving Superlink/Interlink/Combination trucks
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
  • Trained in defensive driving techniques
  • Familiarity with emergency and defect reporting procedures
  • Knowledge of vehicle inspections and use of fire extinguishers
  • Understanding of loading/offloading techniques and vehicle efficiency
  • Own reliable transport to and from work
  • Clean criminal record
  • Medically fit for duty

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the vehicle for each trip and operate it safely according to Ultra-heavy vehicle standards
  • Ensure proper loading, transporting, and offloading of goods
  • Complete all relevant documentation and perform required ancillary duties
  • Follow instructions from the Supervisor and adhere to schedules
  • Maintain a safe driving record and comply with company procedures
  • Perform daily housekeeping of the vehicle, uniform, and PPE
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations
  • Successfully complete the following evaluations and processes:
    • Medical Evaluation
    • USCS Training Modules
    • Company Induction
    • Practical Driving Assessment
    • Criminal Record Verification
