Introduction:
Woolworths is seeking a passionate and people-focused Pantry | Tasting | Demo Sales Consultant to join our team in Bellville. This exciting role offers the opportunity to bring the Woolworths brand to life through interactive food tastings and demonstrations, allowing customers to discover and connect with our high-quality food offerings in a fun and engaging way.
Role Purpose:
To deliver a unique and memorable in-store experience by preparing and presenting tastings that showcase the quality, innovation, and flavour of Woolworths products. You’ll also collect customer feedback, use technology to enhance engagement, and inspire customers to try new products.
Key Responsibilities:
-Warmly greet every customer and invite them to explore the tasting experience
-Present and prepare demo dishes that highlight the unique value of Woolworths products
-Explain the product story, benefits, and uses in an engaging manner
-Collect customer feedback using QR codes, digital surveys, and face-to-face interaction
-Ensure tastings are set up, run smoothly, and are cleaned up according to hygiene standards
-Use digital tools to plan and manage tasting sessions
-Deliver consistently excellent customer interactions that reflect the Woolworths brand
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate (NQF Level 4 or equivalent)
- Willingness and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or customer-facing roles is advantageous
- Comfortable using digital tools for planning and feedback collection
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to manage your time and responsibilities independently
- Strong passion for food, people, and creating delightful experiences
