This executive role is central to shaping and delivering human capital strategies that align with the bank\u2019s commercial goals, drive performance, and enhance organisational capability. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing people solutions, leading HR teams, and partnering with senior leaders to embed a high-performance culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Act as a strategic enabler to assigned business units by translating business strategy into aligned and actionable people plans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead the implementation and development of workforce optimisation and organisational development initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct and indirectly manage HR teams and specialisms across the People Function to ensure effective service delivery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support and challenge senior leaders on key people-related issues such as talent acquisition, leadership development, organisational change, employee relations, and reward strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive a culture of performance by designing and executing integrated HR solutions that impact medium- to long-term business performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Champion talent management efforts across Absa, including succession planning and employee retention strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead change and transformation programmes aligned to the bank\u2019s overall strategic direction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of HR practices and improve delivery by benchmarking against industry standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build and maintain strong internal client relationships to ensure cohesive and agile HR support across functions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide thought leadership and innovation in the development of organisational capability and people performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements and Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Industrial\/Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, Banking, Commerce, or a related field (required).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum of 10 years of general work experience, including at least 5 years in a senior Human Capital Business Partner role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong background in:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>People Strategy Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Client Relationship and Stakeholder Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change and Programme Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consulting and Analytical Skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid commercial acumen and experience in delivering people solutions that drive business performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven leadership in managing large teams and HR projects across complex environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">APPLICATION PROCESS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/zentrofly.com\/bwjobs\/apply-for-absa-bank-botswana-vacancies-may-2025-part-1\/\">APPLY HERE<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Opportunity: Senior Human Capital Business PartnerLocation: Absa Prime Plaza, Gaborone, BotswanaClosing Date: 2 May 2025 Overview:Absa Bank Botswana is looking for a strategic and influential Senior Human Capital Business Partner (SHCBP) to lead the people agenda across key business functions.
