This is an exciting opportunity for a retail professional who is passionate about service excellence, sales performance, and team leadership. The successful candidate will report to the Area Manager and be responsible for the overall management of the store to meet sales, profit, and compliance targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To lead the store operations team by ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency, while driving sales, ensuring compliance, and cultivating a high-performing team and business culture that supports the Clicks brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Drive the achievement of financial targets by monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly sales and initiating corrective action as needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage store operations including expense control, stock handling, shrinkage prevention, and administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure consistent brand image through effective in-store merchandising and presentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recruit, manage, and develop staff to ensure optimal performance and succession planning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effectively manage staff scheduling in accordance with labour models and policies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee all HR-related admin, including time and attendance, and maintain complete employee records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement customer service strategies and correct any deficiencies to enhance customer satisfaction and ClubCard participation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain stakeholder relationships with suppliers, distribution centres, and centre managers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor and respond to local market trends, demographics, and competitor activity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrate store operations with pharmacy and clinic teams for cohesive performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foster a high-performance culture that supports customer loyalty and business growth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Essential:<\/strong> Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) or equivalent with at least 50% in Maths and English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Essential:<\/strong> Degree or Diploma in Retail, Finance Management, Pharmacy, or a related field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum of 2 years\u2019 experience in a retail store management role in an FMCG environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or successful completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong financial management experience (budgeting, P&amp;L, cost control, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Knowledge and Skills:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Solid grasp of retail and financial management principles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound understanding of merchandising, promotions, and stock control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong people management and coaching skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competency in competency-based interviewing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning, organizing, problem-solving, and analytical abilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advanced computer literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr
