The successful candidate will play a key role in developing workforce skills, ensuring compliance with training requirements, and driving performance management within the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>-Conduct internal staff training in line with the company\u2019s annual training plan and budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Prepare and submit training levy rebate applications to HRDC for eligible training interventions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Perform <strong>training needs analysis<\/strong> to identify skill gaps and recommend development strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Evaluate the <strong>efficiency and effectiveness<\/strong> of training programs, providing feedback and corrective action where necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Design and implement <strong>assessment methods<\/strong> and tools to measure staff competence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Develop and prepare <strong>training aids, lecture notes, presentations, and demonstrations<\/strong> aligned with industry standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Conduct trainee reviews and provide timely feedback to employees and relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Develop <strong>individual and team development plans<\/strong> to enhance workforce competency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Drive <strong>Performance Management<\/strong> processes within the department to align HR processes with business strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Facilitate and coordinate <strong>Learnership Programs<\/strong>, including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Graduate Development Program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Artisan Development Program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Internships, Attachments, Sponsorships, and Apprenticeships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guide and support line managers in <strong>job evaluation, job description development, and grading of jobs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure strict adherence to <strong>safety, health, and environmental policies<\/strong> in all training activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> Diploma in <strong>Mining Engineering<\/strong> or a related qualification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Certification:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assessor &amp; Moderator \/ Trainer Development Diploma (Mandatory).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervisory Development Program (Required).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full registration with <strong>Botswana Qualification Authority (BQA) as a Trainer<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum <strong>4 years of post-qualification experience<\/strong> in the mining industry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least <strong>2 years at a Training Officer level<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technical Knowledge:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong understanding of <strong>training methodologies<\/strong> and competency-based assessments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with <strong>SHE Management Systems<\/strong>, including <strong>ISO 45001: 2018<\/strong> and <strong>ISO 14001: 2015<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other Requirements:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be <strong>medically and physically fit<\/strong> to work in an underground coal mining environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to work in <strong>high-pressure, demanding schedules<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">APPLICATION PROCESS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/zentrofly.com\/bwjobs\/apply-for-morupule-coal-mine-vacancies-19-march-2025\/\">APPLY HERE<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Company: Morupule Coal MineLocation: Palapye, BotswanaClosing Date: 27 March 2025 Overview: Morupule Coal Mine is seeking a qualified Training Officer \u2013 Mining to provide, facilitate, and coordinate technical training for the Mining Department.
