Overview:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Curro Helderwyk is seeking a responsible and experienced Bus Driver<\/strong> to transport learners and staff safely while ensuring adherence to health, safety, and operational standards<\/strong>. The ideal candidate will also assist with general maintenance and facility support<\/strong> as part of their role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications & Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

–Valid Code 10 Driver\u2019s License with PDP<\/strong> (Professional Driving Permit).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–PDP authorization<\/strong> for transporting learners and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Minimum 5 years\u2019 experience in transporting learners and staff<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience in a similar role<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Presentable with strong communication skills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Clear criminal record<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Learner Transportation:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Operate a school bus on designated routes<\/strong> according to a fixed schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Pick up and drop off students at designated stops<\/strong> safely and on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Transport students and teachers on field trips<\/strong>, ensuring appropriate route planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain order and discipline<\/strong> among student passengers in accordance with school policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

General Worker Duties:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Assist with general maintenance and facility support<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Respond to maintenance requests<\/strong> for school facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform daily checks on school premises<\/strong> to identify repair needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assist with basic plumbing, maintenance, and repair work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Report required repairs to the Facilities Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain tools and equipment<\/strong> for maintenance and gardening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Provide security and access control support<\/strong> across school facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assist with traffic management<\/strong> during school hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garden Maintenance:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain grass, flower beds, and outdoor areas<\/strong> of the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure the garden is clean and well-kept<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Advise the Facilities Manager<\/strong> on gardening requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health & Safety Compliance:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct daily safety and operational inspections<\/strong> of the assigned vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Report mechanical issues<\/strong> when necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Refuel and service the bus with gas, diesel, oil, and battery checks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform periodical safety drills<\/strong> as required by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle<\/strong> for safe operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Attend safety and first aid training sessions<\/strong> as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Record Keeping:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain mileage records and passenger count reports<\/strong> as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
