Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a dedicated and experienced Store Cleaner<\/strong> to join the team at Blue Route Mall<\/strong> on a fixed-term contract. This role is essential to maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the store, including customer areas, back office spaces, and staff facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Main Purpose of the Role:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the store according to Dis-Chem\u2019s health and safety regulations and standards. This includes maintaining a tidy store floor, restrooms, stockrooms, and canteen areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Perform daily cleaning duties across the store, ensuring high hygiene standards<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure cleanliness in customer-facing and staff-only areas before store opening<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Regularly clean restrooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary products<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain a clean canteen area throughout the day<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Be on-call during store hours to respond to immediate cleaning needs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment for different tasks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Follow Health and Safety Regulations strictly<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Display the \u201cwet floor\u201d sign visibly when floors are being cleaned<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude toward customers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Essential:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Grade 12 \/ Matric<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-At least 6 months of cleaning experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong English communication skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Willing and able to work retail hours<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advantageous:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Bilingual (especially area-specific languages)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Previous cleaning experience in a retail store<\/p>\n\n\n\n
