Overview:<\/strong>
SANBS is looking for a dedicated and professional Driver<\/strong> to join its transport team in Roodepoort. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, timeous, and cost-efficient transportation of goods and passengers, while upholding the organisation\u2019s commitment to service excellence and public health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. Pre-Trip Procedures:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct vehicle inspections using the standard Vehicle Inspection Checklist<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Report vehicle irregularities to the Dispatch Controller<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Collect and sign for trip instruction sheets and necessary documentation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Collect products and ensure safe and secure loading of blood products<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Complete odometer readings and logbooks; refuel vehicles when necessary<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Transportation of Goods:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Complete trip sheets accurately and follow all delivery instructions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Drive in compliance with SANBS regulations and the National Road Traffic Act<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure goods are delivered and received with the appropriate documentation and signatures<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Promote SANBS professionalism in all recipient interactions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Finalise deliveries and submit all trip-related paperwork to Dispatch Controller<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Transportation of Passengers (where applicable):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Collect and transport passengers as scheduled<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Display SANBS Welcome Board when collecting passengers from airports<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure a professional image at all times<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Escort unfamiliar passengers to reception areas and gather feedback where applicable<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Administrative and Support Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Answer transport department calls and relay messages<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assist with cleaning and maintaining vehicles<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Report incidents or accidents immediately and obtain case numbers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform ad hoc tasks and assist technical drivers with clinic setups when required<\/p>\n\n\n\n
